But those days seemed a lifetime away as Miley Cyrus danced suggestively with her female back up dancing for a Jimmy Kimmel Live performance with will.i.am in Hollywood on Tuesday.
The 20-year-old shamelessly flaunted her physique during their performance, and even groped and grinded with a series of backing dancers as she tried to push her raunchy new image.

At one point, Miley also cosied up to singer Will.I.Am, and gave him a kiss on the lips.
The pair were performing his song Fall Down, on which she guest stars, from his new album #willpower, and it appears he has grown a soft spot for the popstrel.

He insisted their collaboration is the best thing on his new CD, despite the likes of Justin Bieber and Britney Spears also guesting.
The 38-year-old said: 'The end of Fall Down is my favorite part of the whole record,' who describes the song as sounding like 'Quincy Jones just sneezed on it.'

The Black Eyed Pea has been effusive in his praise for Miley's own material, insisting her forthcoming album, '(will) redefine everything you think of as Miley Cyrus.'
She certainly seemed to be trying to shake off the last remnants of her former image as she performed in a pair of tiny shorts, thigh-high suede boots and a high cut mesh top that showed off her flat stomach.
And it appears her collaborator appreciated her full-blooded efforts, as he gavce her a kiss on the cheek at the end of their performance.

It was arguably Miley's raunchiest performance to date, with her outfit leaving little the imagination.
The choreography of her routines have also become a lot more adult in their nature.
At one point she was seen straddling a dancer on a sofa, while turning around to grin at the audience.

But it seems Miley has not forgotten her Disney roots altogether, as she took to Twitter on Monday to praise her former employers for including a gay family in the forthcoming season of sitcom Good Luck Charlie.
The family-friendly show's fourth and final season will feature a character with two lesbian moms when it premieres next year
She said: 'I commend Disney for making this step into the light of this generation. They control so much of what kids think!
